Accessing GCPS Student Tools

Once you have logged in, you will be in the Student Portal, also known as Learning Space. There are 3 main sections, Digital Textbooks, Additional Resources and Apps.

1. Digital Textbooks
Most eTextbooks have the ability to read the text back to your student. The textbooks will vary by grade level. 

2. Resources
Access Google Workspace for Education, iReady, the GCPS Student/Parent Handbook, and more. 

3. Apps
My Student Vue: Students can view their current class schedule, grades, behavior points & more.
Google Classroom: Students access their teacher’s Google Classroom for digital content including Digital Learning Day assignments.
Assessments: Students can complete and review some class assessments. Most digital assessments at MPES are found in Google Classroom.
Library Catalog: Student can access the Mountain Park Elementary Media Center collection to choose their next book.
Online Research Library: Student can access multiple online research sites and additional eBooks. The passwords for these resources are found by clicking the word password.

Teachers in 1st-5th use Google Classroom to post assignments and other important class information. 

You can get to google classroom from the Student Learning Space (Student Portal). Once your student logs in and sees the Learning Space, select Google Classroom under Apps. 

A new tab will open with Google Classroom and the Class Cards will be displayed. Select the Teacher's Class Card to access the Google Classroom for that specific teacher/subject.
